Add-ons
If you play ESO on PC you can make your everyday and raiding life much easier with add-ons. We maintain the list of the most useful of them. Do you find your favourite add-on missing? Let us know, we’ll add it!
How to get/update add-ons?
- ESO-UI. It’s a website dedicated to collecting different extensions.
Pros: a lot of stuff listed, a lot of comments from users.
Cons: have to download and install add-ons manually - Minion. A standalone app that allows you download and update add-ons in one click.
Pros: user-friendly, most add-ons are synched with ESO-UI, so there’s a lot of them
Cons: not all listed, a standalone app. - CurseForge. Another site with a collection of add-ons.
Pros and Cons are pretty much the same as with ESO-UI, just the collection is smaller. - Manually installing add-ons provided by other players.
Pros: some really useful extensions, tailored for high-end players, are never listed publicly
Cons: if the add-on zip is provided by someone you don’t know well, there are some obvious risks associated with that
No matter which way you choose, you will need to either put the files manually in the right folder, or you will need to browse that folder in Minion settings. If you play on PC, the default path will be:
YourUserName > Documents > Elder Scrolls Online > Live > Addons
Please note that the list that we offer is not by any means comprehensive, we’re just listing the apps that are widely used.
Most add-ons will require some LIBRARIES to function, so make sure to check those dependencies and install everything that is required:

General dungeon and trial add-ons
- Raid Notifier. Will let you know about important mechanics in every trial. Saves a lot of lives and allows you to skip learning animations of every mech. A must-have.
- Code’s Combat Alerts. In addition to Raid Notifier, shows you important notifications when a mechanic is targeting you specifically (you’re standing in something dangerous, or being targeted by a heavy attack that will one-shot you). A must-have.
- Hodor Reflexes. Will allow you to share how much ultimate you have and how much damage you’re doing in a fight. A must-have for supports (you will need to coordinate horns/barriers/colossus), nice to have for DDs.
- Lilith’s Group Manager (LGM). A set of useful functions for automating some common group actions (inviting pre-defined groups, autoinvites, quick deaths analysis etc).
- CrutchAlerts. Shows a lot of trial specific mechanics that can be crucial for efficiently clearing hard mode DLC trials
- OdySupportIcons. Shows extra icons like player state (dead, being resurrected) and positioning tips.
- Combat Metrics. Allows you to use the /cmx command in the chat and check a detailed analysis of your performance in a fight (uptimes, light attack weaving, skill usage, gear, CP, and much more). A must-have for all roles
- Combat Metronome. Allows you to track global cooldown for your skills for better light attack weaving. If you are not sure what it is and why it is so important, check our article on weaving.
- Wizard’s Wardrobe / Alpha Gear / Dressing Room. Allow you to save multiple gear and skill setups and switch them with a hotkey or a couple of mouse clicks (or even automatically!)
- Inventory Insight. Allows you to see items on other characters and browse through them.
- XL Gear Banker. Allows you to transfer gear between your characters quicker by saving random gear combinations and deposit them to the bank or withdraw them in one-click
- ExoYs ProcSet Timer. Allows you to see full information on active effects that you get from the gear sets you wear
- Action Duration Reminder. A better version of the in-game system to track duration of your skills for better uptimes.

Raid support add-ons
- Buff The Group. For support roles (heal/tank), it allows to set up the buffs that you want to track, and then shows them in separate windows.
- Group Buffs. Another version of the same idea, allowing you to set up a window for every buff you need to track.
- Synergy Toggle. Allows you to set up what synergies you will be able to use. A very good group performance optimisation tool, supported by one of our regular members, Mr Helix <3
- Srendarr. Allows you to track buffs and debuffs.
- Purge Tracker. A must-have for supports allows you to see if your group members have any purgeable negative effects
- Untaunted. Shows separate taunt timers for each target you taunt. A must-have for tanks, because it allows you to see whether you got the target or it was overtaunted/your taunt missed.
- Am I Blocking? Despite a simplistic name, it is a must-have for tanks, because there are several scenarios where you can drop block while performing some other action.
- Hyper Tools. A flexible addon that requires a bit of work to set up but allows you to set up your interface and buff trackers with great precision
- Set-specific add-on to track the buff of a set:
Meta/playstyle add-ons
Many players don’t limit themselves to one specific type of content and need to switch between different combinations of add-ons (say, between PvP, PvE, questing, immersion or roleplay). So there are add-ons designed to create profiles and switch between them quickly.
UI add-ons
Usually UI extensions are quite complex and add a couple of extra features on top of just visual tweaks like a mini map or extra automation. They can also conflict with one another, if activated at the same time, so install one at a time, test it and replace if needed
We won’t describe them in details, just go and check for yourself.
If you are unhappy with how your chat looks and you want to customise it you can try using
